O.k...So I'm working on my first book and I'm extremely excited.  I have always loved words, and admired the passion and skill of great and talented speakers like Martin Luther King.... I am just awed by the poetry in his speeches.  Many people (including the John Stossel of ABC) has told me that I am one of the most extremely eloquent and well spoken persons he has ever interviewed, and if you know John, you know he has interviewed several famous and powerful people. It's nice to be able to shine even when compared with movers and shakers in society. I’m humbled by that…Thanks John.

My fist book of poetry is something I have wanted to do for a long time. I have been writing poetry for years and I feel like this is the right time for me to publish it.  I've had an interestingly challenging life and I think it's about time I share my insight, perspectives and experiences with the world.  This book is for every woman or man, every teenager, or little girl or boy, who has felt alone and without a voice.  Be strong, resilience is the key.  Turn  negative into positives, and others can learn from your experiences.  If I can inspire or change one person’s life with my book then I have accomplished what I set out to do. I will be uploading my postry soon so do come back.

I was first published when I was nineteen in an award winning youth magazine, now called Represent.   My work has also been published in two anthologies where I lend my views and experiences to the foster care system.  One book is called Child abuse.... and the other is called Growing Up Poor.  I am especially proud that my writing was chosen to be in the Growing Up Poor Anthology because I find myself in great company. In great company of people who's writing I admire.  The Harvard professor who compiled the anthology, chose my work to accompany that of Langston Hughes and many other great accomplished writers...I am honored to be part of his book.
